Stephanie Kramer is a graduate with a Master's degree in Political Science from the University of Amsterdam. She also holds a Master's degree in Archaeology from the same university. While doing her studies, Stephanie enjoyed participating in Model United Nations programs and she was vice president of the student council of her faculty. Her main research interests are international relations, conflict studies, public policy, diplomacy, the European Union, participatory democracy and the politics of inequality. Currently, Stephanie lives in Athens to do research on the diplomatic dispute over the Elgin/Parthenon sculptures between the United Kingdom and Greece.

Joshua Manalo

Joshua S. Manalo, from Lipa City in Batangas, Philippines, is a graduate of AB in Political Science (cum laude) from the University of Santo Tomas - Manila under Santo Tomas (Valedictorian) Academic Scholarship. He is currently taking up his Master of Arts in International Studies at De La Salle University - Manila, also under a scholarship. He had served as the Chairperson Pro Tempore of the Policy Board and Chairperson of the Committee on Research and Publications of the UST - The Political Science Forum and a College Representative for Becarios de Santo Tomas. His research and academic interests include comparative politics, geopolitics, nationalism / nationhood studies (including secessionism), local governments (including autonomy), international political economy, international elections, and electoral studies. Aside from speaking Filipino and English, he also knows basic Spanish. As a football fan, he supports Chelsea and FC Barcelona and watches political thriller and alternative history TV series and movies during his free time.

Currently, Hakan works as a research assistant at the Department of International Relations of Isik University, in Turkey. He is a Ph.D. candidate at the department of Politics and International Relations of Yildiz Technical University having graduated from the Istanbul University with a B.A. in International Relations. He has two master degrees, one in Economics from Dalarna University in Sweden, and one in Eurasian Studies from Uppsala University in Sweden.  His main research interests are security studies, regionalism, peace and conflicts studies, and International Relations Theories in broader perspectives. On his Ph.D. thesis, he specialises on coercive diplomacy, deterrence theory, and practice of extended deterrence.

Jasmina Eminic is an MA student in International Business Economics at the University of Maribor, Slovenia. She graduated in International Relations from the Faculty of Social Sciences of University of Ljubljana and is currently doing an Erasmus exchange at Berlin School of Economics and Law. Her interests include international relations, foreign policy, peace and security, human rights, international political economy and gender studies. She is fluent in English and Bosnian, has good knowledge of Spanish language and is currently learning German. In her free time, Jasmina is a big fitness enthusiast, passionate TV series fan and music lover.

Cheludo Butale is currently pursuing her Doctorate degree in International Relations at Cyprus International University in Cyprus. She has a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the Management College of Southern Africa in Durban, South Africa as well as Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Public Administration from the University of Botswana. She has previous work experience from the Ministry of State President in Botswana on issues of public policy and development. Furthermore, her main areas of research include, amongst others, public policy and comparative development, gender studies, security studies, global regulation, theories in international relations and political philosophy. She loves fitness, travelling, reading autobiographies, and meeting new people. She is currently learning German and French languages during her free time at Cyprus International University.

Lara Jeich is a student at the International Studies Master’s degree offered by the Universidad Torcuato di Tella (2015) in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Majoring in International Political Economy, Lara is currently working on her thesis about Development Cooperation. She holds a Bachelor degree (2011) in International Relations from Universidad de San Andrés, also located in Buenos Aires. Her academic interests are vast, mostly related to International Cooperation and Development, Sustainable Development, Emerging Economies, Foreign Trade, and Global Governance. She has been part of several Academic Think Thanks both as coordinator as well as researcher. She was enrolled at AIESEC, and took part of Project Talk in Brazil, an English teaching practice based on the analysis of current International Affairs.

Donatella Bonansinga

Donatella is an off-campus PhD candidate at the University of Birmingham, where she researches the role that populism and emotionality play in securitizing processes and their impact on the target audience in terms of security perception and understanding. Donatella has a background in political science, international relations and European studies; she has completed a BA and two MAs at the University of Catania in Italy and the Belgian Université de Liège. After graduation, she chose the Prague-based think tank Schola Empirica for her Erasmus traineeship mobility, at the end of which she was offered a position as Project Manager. She is currently responsible for organizing the institute’s annual academic events and the administrative coordination of a Czech research project funded by the European Commission.

Merve Kania studies International Relations and Social Sciences at the University of Erfurt, Germany. She has interned with the research center of the German Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF), the German Foreign Ministry (Auswärtiges Amt), the taz.Panter Stiftung of the German newspaper taz.die tageszeitung and the Turkish think tank USAK (International Strategic Research Organization). Merve is a board member of the MUN team at her university and spearheading the German hub of the international non-profit breaking walls initiative, which sparks empowerment and understanding among youth of different backgrounds through creative writing and performance workshops. Her main research interests are abstract threats, terrorism, mobility, conflict studies, culture in politics, Turkey, the Middle East and theory/practice debates. Currently, Merve works on her dissertation on the Turkish notion of crisis from a postcolonial Security Studies perspective.

Antwi Boasiako is studying for his doctoral degree in political science at Concordia University, Canada. He received his MA from Brock University, also in Canada, and his BA from the University of Ghana. At Brock University, Antwi was awarded the prestigious Board of Trustees Spirit of Brock medal – the highest University award for students – in celebration of his outstanding academic leadership, and community involvement. Antwi has presented his research papers at several international conferences including, the 11th International Conference on Interdisciplinary Social Sciences in London, UK, IPSA’s 24th World Congress in Poznan, Poland, and MPSA’s 74th Annual Conference in Chicago, Illinois, USA, all in 2016.
